Emmons, 51, a former longtime resident of Corvallis, late of North Plains, passed away Sat- urday afternoon, February 8, 2020, from unexpected heart complications at his home. Jonathan was born April 15, 1968, in Corvallis, the son of the late David Scott Emmons and Joanne (Cor- bett) Papadopoulos. He was raised and received his education in the Corvallis community, having at- tended Corvallis High School. He was married to his first wife, Kimberly Emmons, in 1990.

They had two children together. They later divorced. He was remarried to Caryn Marie Bieker on December 17, 1994, in Estacada, They celebrated their 25th wed- ding anniversary this past December. Following their marriage, they made their home in the Corvallis com- munity, where they raised their six children. In 2018, Jonathan moved to the North Plains community, where he had resided since.

In his younger years, Jonathan worked as a commer- cial fisherman in Alaska for several years. While living in the Corvallis community, he worked as a meat cutter with his father in the family business, at Emmons Meat Market, for several years. He later worked for United Parcel Service in Albany for several years, before work- ing for Safeway as a meat cutter in Corvallis and Bea- verton. Among his special interests, he enjoyed his family life, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, David Emmons, and his Uncle Patrick and Uncle Mike.

Survivors include his wife, Caryn Emmons, of Ken- newick, Washington; his mother and stepfather, Joanne and Larry Papadopoulos, of North Plains, Oregon; his stepmother Nancy Emmons, of Albany, Oregon; his six children and their spouses, Anthony and Kyla Em- mons, of Philomath, Oregon; Nicole and Kyle Bansen, of Yamhill, Oregon; Katie Emmons and Jason Hsu, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Jessica Bieker and Jeff Morford, of Beaverton, Oregon; Mason Westmoreland, of Kenne- wick, Washington, and Andrew Westmoreland, of Ken- newick, Washington; and his sister and three brothers and sister-in laws, Becky Colla, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Dan and Karen Emmons, of Vancouver, Washington; Rob and Paige Emmons, of Corvallis, Oregon, and Dave Emmons, of Corvallis, Oregon. Also surviving are his four grandchildren, Henry Bansen, Sawyer Emmons, Luke Bansen and Watson Emmons, and several nieces and nephews. Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Cre- matory in Forest Grove. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Wren Community Hall, 35515 Kings Valley Highway, Philomath, OR 97370.

Aaron Michael Kline March 12, 1954 February 12, 2020 Aaron Kline, age 65, passed away Wednes- day, February 12, 2020 at Albany General Hospital in Albany, Oregon. Mike was born in Dun- cansville, Pennsylvania to Lawrence J. Kline II and Aldine C.

Long (Keckler). Mike graduated from Hol- lidaysburg High School in Hollidaysburg, PA. He moved to Oregon in 1972 and started working for Or- egon White Truck. In 1980, Mike opened Truck Repair in Lebanon, Oregon. He was a diesel mechanic for many years.

Mike then worked for Mid Pacific En- terprise in Albany. He was a long time resident of Leb- anon and Albany and loved the community. Mike was a Steelers fan and loved spending time with his family and friends. Mike is survived by his two sons, Josh Kline (Jaimie) of Corvallis and Tyler Kline (Emeli) of Cottage Grove. Grandchildren Brennen Kline, Meredith Sprinkel, Zoe, Gavin and Declan Griffin His siblings Lawrence J.

Kline III (Linda) of Portland, OR; Dorothy E. Snyder of Duncansville, PA; Gloria M. Jones (Tom) of Media, PA; Sharon A. Yeckley (Dave) of Duncansville, PA. Aldine remarried after Lawrence died and had two sons Paul Long (Becky) Hollidaysburg, PA; Brian Long of Holl- idaysburg, PA with Marion D.

Long and Aunt Shirley Thompson (Keckler) of Yakima, WA. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence J. Kline II; his mother Aldine C. Long and step dad Mar- ion Long. He had two sisters, Christine A.

Kline and Deborah J. Corl (Kline). His grandparents, Arthur and Anna Keckler, who were very instrumental in his life. brother-in-law Tom Snyder and Uncle Clark Thompson MD. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Jeanne Wickham Blount Robinson November 5, 1922 January 3, 2020 Jeanne Wickham Blount Robinson, born in Balti- more, Maryland, on No- vember 5, 1922, lived most of her younger life in Sea- side Park, New Jersey. She is preceded in death by her husband(s) Eugene Robin- son and Cecil Blount. She is survived by her chil- dren: Myrna Tufono, Dean Blount, Gail Souza (Rob- ert), Johntom Blount, Sarah Davies-Davis, Annaliese Moran and Dan Robinson, and numerous grandchil- dren and great-grandchil- dren. During WWII she served as an aviation machinist mate in the U.S.

Navy. Af- terward she lived in Flor- ida, California, Panama, Hawaii and Corvallis for almost 60 years. A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. July 4 at Grace Lutheran Church in Corvallis. Lois Jean Lizama July 23, 1954 January 8, 2020 Lois Jean Lizama, age 65, passed away January 8, surrounded by family and friends after a hard-fought battle against cancer.

Lois was born and raised in Lebanon. She began schooling at Queen Anne Elementary and gradu- ated from Lebanon Union High School in 1972. Lois worked at NORPAC for part of her life. Her main focus was being a housewife and mother to four children. She enjoyed being out- doors, gardening and jigsaw puzzles.

Lois is survived by her mother, Marian Garlinghouse; four siblings, Patricia, Diana, Debra and Robert; hus- band, Vincent; four children, Mikel, Christopher, Kellie and David; and grandchild, Sadie. Feb. 13, 2500 block southwest 53rd street, Corvallis. a woman in her 60s reported she had been scammed by an individ- ual from New york who claimed to work for Comcast and said her home computer network needed to be upgraded and secured. The caller directed the woman to pur- chase $4,000 in gift cards from home depot and $1,000 in gift cards from ebay to pay for the work. a deputy contacted home depot and learned the gift cards had been flagged and the woman was eligible for a refund.

The case was discontinued due to a lack of investigative leads. SWEET HOME POLICE Family feud 10:39 a.m. Tuesday, 3000 block s. Main st. a caller reported that her hus- band was overdosing on muscle relaxers while a male voice in the background shouted that he was not, and that he was taking med- ication at his regular time.

The woman was mad that her hus- band being transported for medical assistance and said she would continue to call 911. an officer advised her against that. ALBANY DEMOCRAT-HERALD Oregon students will compete at the American Legion Oratorical Contest, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at the Linn County Expo Center, 3700 Knox Butte Road, Competitors will vie to earn up to $5,000 in schol- arships, with the champion advancing to the national contest to be held April 17- 19 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The case led West Linn to settle a federal dis- crimination and wrongful arrest lawsuit by Fesser for $600,000. U.S. Office will investigate whether any federal crimes were com- mitted.

allega- tions cross two counties and involved both West Linn and Portland police departments. Clackamas County Dis- trict Attorney John Foote and Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill said they will continue their inquiries to determine if credibility concerns raised in the case about the involved officers should trigger a so-called Brady notice.
