Survivors include her husband of 60 1925-2006 years; sons and wives Joel Allen, Raymond and Karen Allen, Terry Allen, Lewis is Allen, Lee and Rachel Allen and Neil Allen; daughters and husbands Elizabeth and Paul Carmody and Connie and Steve I Doiel; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Please send remembrances to the public library or Benton Hospice Service. Ruth 'Lucille' Leeland Dec. 21, 1918 Nov. 18, 2006 Ruth "Lucille" Leeland passed away Saturday.

She was born Ruth Lucille Rees in Carroll, to William and Adeline Wheeler Rees. She grew up on a Nebraska farm with her parents and sister, Dorothy Rees Bartlett, who preceded her in death. Upon completion of high school, she attended and received her teaching diploma in 1938 from Nebraska State Teachers College. After teaching in both Nebraska and Wyoming, Lucille settled in Oregon, first teaching elementary school from 1947 to 1955 at Abernethy School in Portland. During her tenure with the Portland Public School System she earned her Master of Education through the University of Oregon.

Lucille joined the staff at Oregon State University in 1955, and while teaching there she earned her doctorate in education. She continued to make a positive difference in young people's lives while a professor at Oregon State, retiring in 1981. Lucille thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, a good laugh, an interesting book and time spent with family and dear friends. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Albert Leeland, and three stepchildren, Lynne Leeland Caletti, William Leeland and Thomas Leeland. A service celebrating her life, which was dedicated to others, will be held at 2 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 25, at McHenry Funeral Home, 206 N.W. Fifth Corvallis, OR 97330. The family asks that donations be made in memory of Ruth "Lucille" Leeland to the Oregon State University general scholarship fund at the following address: OSU Foundation General Scholarship Fund, 850 S.W. 35th Corvallis, OR 97333.

McHenry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Wilbur W. Maltby May 6, 1919 Nov. 11, 2006 Wilbur W. Maltby died Nov.

11 at his home in Corvallis. He was 87. He was born in Alsea to Charles Wilbur Lulu Helen (Swift) Maltby. He was raised on a dairy farm. He graduated from Alsea High School in 1937.

He attended Oregon State University for three years before joining the U.S. Navy for duty during World War II. He served Maltby in the Pacific 1919-2006 at Pearl Harbor and on Midway Island before being assigned to the Sampson Naval Training Center in Geneva, N.Y. While at Sampson he met and married his first wife, Leonore Burton. Together they had three children, Burton, Karen and Steven.

After World War II, Wilbur returned to OSU to get a degree in agriculture. He then taught vocational agriculture at Halfway High School for a year. Following that, he returned to the family dairy farm at Alsea to work with his father, Charles, and his brother, Harold. In 1951, Wilbur went to work for the Oregon State Department of Agriculture, where he served in the food and dairy division for 29 years before retiring. In 1968 Wilbur married Elizabeth "Betty" Nichols in Beaverton.

They have lived in Corvallis since 1972. He is survived wife, Betty Maltby of Corvallis; son, Burton Maltby of Hillsboro, N.H.; and daughter, Idaho. He was preceded Karen Putnam of Rathdrum, death by his brothers, Harold and Lyle, and sister, Marion. At his request, no public services were held. Burial is at Alsea Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Benton Hospice Service, 2350 N.W. Professional Drive, Corvallis, William L. Morgan June 2, 1939 Nov. 17, 2006 William L. "Bill" Morgan, a long-time resident of Benton and Lane counties, died Friday at his home in Eugene of cancer.

He was 67. He was born in Junction City to Louis and Verneta Morgan. Bill was a lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He spent his career in Morgan 1939-2006 the forest industries. He was a volunteer firefighter for more than 40 years in Junction City, Harrisburg and Monroe.

He married Rhonda L. Miller on Dec. 1, 1961, in Bellfountain. Marilyn C. Reedy Jan. 18, 1950 Nov. 16, 2006 Marilyn Christine Reedy was born to Chauncey and Kaye Hubbard at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene. She was a birthday present for her mother.

Marilyn was the oldest of five children. She attended school in Monroe, Junction City and Corvallis. She later met and married Don Reedy. After some time they moved to Colville, where they lived for many years. Eventually she moved back to Oregon, where she took care of her grandfather, then later her father and step-mother.

She was a wonderful help to her family. Marilyn moved to make friends, and she kept them. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Kaye Cooper of Eugene; father, Chauncey M. Hubbard, Jr. of Monroe; two brothers, Steven C.

Hubbard of San Antonio, Texas, and Kerry D. Hubbard of Monroe; two sisters, G. Suzanne Hubbard of Eugene and JulieAnn Hubbard; two stepdaughters; one step-son; eight nephews; and two nieces. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec.

1, at DeMossDurdan Funeral Home. Donald E. Rogers May 8, 1931 Nov. 16, 2006 Donald Eugene Rogers died in his home in Newport after a two-year battle with lung cancer. Don is survived by his wife, Edna; children, Debbie and husband Bill Hammerquist, Arietta and husband John Ferreira, Tom and wife Peggy, and Roger; and step-children Rick Powell and wife Coleen and Laura and husband Bob Bewley.
