Applying a little poetic license to politics, he said Humphrey was casting himself in the role of Neville Chamberlain at Munich and Nixon was standing firmly with Winston Churchill. From what he described as a position smacking of "peace at any price," he said Humphrey was "trying to move back into an equivocal stance" on the war. He said Humphrey was "attempting to lift the American people Up to the prospect of peace when there is no evidence that peace is insight." Asked if he wasn't being a bit rough in the clinches, Agnew replied: "When my team is kicked in the groin, I don't stand by and take it." SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) Friends of the Kennedy family in the a 1 i i a are trying to prevent mass publication -of photographs taken during the', Robert F. Kennedy autopsy.

AbouT00 photos "were taken during the post-mortem-doctors conducted on the slain senator's body in Los Angeles last June. Most or all of them are expected to be introduced-at the trial of Sirhan Bishara accused of fatally shooting Kennedy just after he proclaimed victory in the June 4 California "Democratic presidential primary. Gov. Ronald Reagan, a Republican, arranged to put the matter before the current special session of the legislature today. A bill has been drafted.

Dist. Atty. Evelle Younger of Los Angeles said the law permits reproduction of any court evidence, including autopsy photographs, as soon as it becomes part of the court record. Agnew. As No.

2 man on the GOP ticket, Maryland Gov. Agnew chopped away at Vice President, Hubert H. Humphrey, the Democratic nominee, with the kind of spirited abandon enemies of Richard M. Nixon have attributed to him in the past. Nixon, the top GOP candidate, obviously is trying to avoid being tagged as a bare knuckles campaigner.

speaks kindly of Humphrey, while challenging the vice president on the issues and the record of the Johnson -adnunistration. Agnew, on the other hand, made it perfectly clear he is ready for political fisticuffs when he thinks the other side is inviting it. He characterized himself as a "counter fighter," a belligerent who awaits his opponent's blow and retaliates with one of his own. What stirred Apew to political anger was Humphrey's observation that the Nixon-Agnew team seemed to be going for a military, rather than a diplomatic, settlement of the Vietnam war. To Agnew, Humphrey's assessment that Nixon was taking a hard line on Vietnam added up to "annual and unwarranted attack" on the-Republican nominee to be answered in kind despite- all of the lofty promises from both sides that there would be no resort to personalities.

The Maryland governor quickly ticked off a series of indictments Against Humphrey. He stumbled once by naming" Nixon as the object of his attack but quickly recovered when reporters began laughing. Agnew said Humphrey had turned "squishy soft" in an effort to recapture Democratic dissidents who opposed his nomination and who want to "disengage in Vietnam at any cost." Indirectly, he hung an ap-peaser label on the vice "1 30 34T" 35 tne data hereof: September 6, 1968. Cost for Legal ft Adminis IDA M. MOCK.
