Trenholm of Westwood, near Philomath, who was seriously injured in an automobile-train collision near McMinnville, is recovering and is already considerably improved. Mrs. Trenholm was injured, but not seriously, and Wag able to be with other members of her family at the funeral of her 17-year-old daughter, Claire, who was instantly killed. Mr. Trenholm and another daughter were not injured.

A. has accepted a summer. position with the United States forest service and will head an extensive reconnoissance party in the Fremont national forest. The party will cruise and map between 20 and 30 thousand acres of timber, and will cover the forest and forage types existing in that area. Prof.
