The coming school bond election was outlined by Dick Hanson, school board member and School Supt. 6600 Children Aided By County UF Benton County children were given 6600 days of care last by United Fund children agencies, figures compiled by UF show. Considering that $12 will provide one handicapped child with three days of care, UF officials said, it must be admitted that "United Fund is not only the way to give to charity it is a bargain." This year the Benton County United Fund has allocated $9922 to Oregon United Appeal, or onethird of what it cost to care for the Benton County children last year. The ratio does not work out this way from year to year, it was explained, but it does indicate the bargain the people of the county receive from their contributions to United Fund. If each working person gave a dollar a month to UF the county drive could soon be successfully culminated, it- was said.
