I Don C. Wilson Don C. Wilson, former Corvallis municipal judge and long-time resident of the city, died Sunday afternoon at a nursing home here. He was 75.

Wilson was the first municipal judge appointed in the city under the city manager system, which went into effect in 1949. Prior to that the city recorder served as municipal judge. Wilson served in the position until his retirement when the City Council required that the judgeship be held by a state-licensed attorney. Wilson was in business here for many years, mostly in the printing industry. He published the newspaper at Camp Adair during World War II.

Funeral services under the direction of the DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home will be announced. Police Report Burla's Home Grocery, 2561 NW Grant was broken into sometime Friday night, according to Corvallis police reports. Burglars took two cartons of cigarettes and a quantity of beer, according to Al Pease, owner of the market. Entry to the building was' gained through a rear door. District Court Woody Randall Striplin, 18, Corvallis, was found guilty Friday of larceny under $75 and was sentenced to one year's probation by the court.

Striplin was charged in connection with an incident Jan. 24 in which he allegedly entered the car of Ken Paulson, Corvallis, and took several items. In addition to the probation, the court suspended imposition of sentence on condition that Striplin not operate a motor vehicle socially for 30 days and also ordered that he must not be convicted of any other crimes during the probation period. Fire Runs Children playing with matches ignited a fire which did $9,500 damage to a garage workshop Saturday, according to Corvallis fire investigators. The fire, which occurred at 5:04 p.m., was at the John M.

Vietnamese Military Merit Medal and i a Gallantry Cross were awarded posthumously to Christopher L. Chambers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tyro Chambers, 6262 i 1 Road NE, Salem, and Pfc. Robert J.

Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Morris, Canby. They were cited for courage and self-sacrifice.

The Navy Achievement Medal was awarded to Lance Cpl. Floyd H. Carness, 1455 Alder Drive NE; Lance Cpl. Kent A. Cook, Independence; Lance Cpl.

Michael D. Shurts, Lebanon; and Sgt. Dennis W. Schuldheisz, Prineville. Philomath Council To Meet Tonight PHILOMATH The Philomath City Council will hold a regular meeting tonight at 8 in the city hall.

Regular business, mainly committee reports, makes up the agenda. CPU LARRY D. JONES Cpl. Larry D. Jones of Corvallis was awarded posthumously the Navy Commendation Medal for hazardous duty as a heavy pnninmpnf- nnpratnr in Vipf- KLOO for eight months until April 1965 when he began working with Oregon State University radio station KOAC.

Mrs. LaBonte was secretary for KLOO radio station for four years. Mrs. LaBonte was a member of Grace Lutheran Church; active in civic and community affairs; active in. the Santiam Girl Scout Coun-'j cil as co-leader of a Junior Girl Scout troop at Adams Elementary School; an officer of Corvallis Focus Club; former member of Zonta International Business Women's Association; member of Beta Sigma Phi' social sorority; and at the time of her illness she was president of Valley Round Barn Theater and secretary of the Corvallis Arts Center.

Besides her widower, Mrs. LaBonte is survived by four children, Richard, 8, Trudy, 15, Carol 13, and Michelle, 10, all at home; three brothers, Johnny, at the University of Utah, Frank and Dan, bothw of Moab, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Ronnie (Lorraine) Turner of Moab; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth D.

Fossey of Moab; numerous aunts and uncles and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be in the chapel of the McHenry Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor P. Ivar Pihl of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Interment service will follow in Portland at Willamette National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

-M" r. nam. Ceremonies were held Sunday at the Naval and Marine Corps VR Training Center in Salem. Cpl. Jones died in a traffic accident last March while enroute to Bremerton, to receive a physical discharge from the U.

S. Marine Corps. He joined the Marine Corps in 1966 and served a total of 26 months in Vietnam. He held the Purple Heart Award, Vietnamese Medal and National Defense Medal, among others. He was wounded twice while in the service.

Bend Man Found With Fatal Wounds BEND (AP) A Bend man found early today lying on grass outside a motor court, with four stab wounds in his abdomen, died four hours later. He was Raymond M. Clark, 49, unemployed. Police said they had learned Clark visited two taverns shortly before midnight. They said two men from Madras reporting finding Clark shortly after midnight Elaine LaBonte Margaret "Elaine" LaBortte, 33, resident for 5 years, died Saturday at the University of Oregon Medical School Hospital following an illness of several months.

The daughter of Ellsworth D. and Virginia McConnell Fossey, Elaine was born March 24, 1937, in Lander, Wyo. As a small child she moved with her family to Cheyenne where she was reared and received her education. On March 6, 1956, Elaine was married to Walter R. LaBonte in Cheyenne where the couple made their home for two years while Mr.

LaBonte was serving with the U.S. Air Forcer The couple moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in the fall of 1957 where Mr. LaBonte worked with the U.S. Air Force as a wildlife conservation agent under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service until 1961 when the couple moved to Mt.

Home, Idaho, where Mr. LaBonte served with the Strategic Air Command at the Mt. Home Air Force Base. Following 12 years in the U.S. Air Force, Mr.

LaBonte received a medical discharge in May 1964 following which the couple moved to Klamath Falls. Mr. LaBonte worked with radio station KLAD until September when they came to Corvallis.
