The greatest furniture factories of Grand Rapids, Michigan, are run by water power. Shlndler Chadbourne have certainly acted wisely in locating their factory in the country, and using the motive power furnished without price by Great piles of ash, maple, spruce, cedar, walnut and fir are stacked about the factory. A year's supply is always stored to insure "proper seasoning, and one of the most annoying features shrinking and swelling of furniture thus avoided. Only the most skilled artisans are employed.

Chamber snits, office, library, parlor and dining room furniture1 are produced in large quantities; and from the lowest priced chair to the finest bedstead, nothing is allowed to leave the factory without strict examination and the assurance of perfect workmanship in every detail.
